Shinobi: Heart Under Blade (Blu-ray Disc, 2008, Special Edition)

Excellent much much better than Death Trance,on blu ray is a blast to see great special effects and music must see.

I gotta say that I was a little bit eskeptic about this movie, because of the special effects and all. I know this is a live version of the anime Basilik, which in truth, both the anime and the movie, are adaptations of the novel " The Kouga Ninja Scrools" and that novel has a lot to be converted to live action. However, I think they did a good job overall, I would have liked to see more action from the main characters, Oboro (Yukie Nakama) an Gennosuke (Joe Odagiri), but I guess there is only so much they can do with such short length or time. Another thing I would've love too see is the charater Kagero, Tomoka Kurotani, doing some fighting scenes, in the anime she is this tough girl, that besides having the ability to poison, she was very strong and skillful in the area of hand combat. Overall I think is a good movie, and maybe if it was longer they could have add all this subtleties that made, in my opinion, the anime so great. If you have the chance, that is if you haven't done so already, check out the anime, as well as the novel.

I never know about that move but i love the japanese and the anime and when i knew the existence of that move, i said "i got to see that move".
Wooow this is the perfect people to make the movie of Samurai Spirits!!!!!!

Totally thought this was one of those under the radar game adaptations, or else I am forgetting the games plots, it has been along time. Other than that it is pretty nifty to say the least really cool kung fu flick. Also the japanese romeo and juliet-esque plot line is kinda different.

This is a great movie it's in blue-ray and a beautiful art of drama ninja's and great graphic's and story line and a great to have and to have in blue-ray.

The movie was actually pretty disappointing. I was expecting a lot more and it did not meet any of my expectations.

The story was decent, the battle scenes all right, the end terrible...overall not worth the the price I paid...will try and resell ASAP... >:(

Romeo and Juliet meets flying ninjas... What's more awesome than that? Must buy for any fan of Japanese films or anime.
