The Shining (DVD, 2007, Special Edition)

Jack Nicholson stars in Stanley Kubrick's 1980 horror film. Jack
Torrance is a Teacher who becomes Caretaker of a hotel for the winter.
He brings his wife and child along and as time goes by, the hotel
starts having a strange effect on him. This is one of the best horror
films and one of Jack Nicholson's best. This dvd is nice because not
only are the picture and sound amazing, but there's great extras as
well. I recommend this because it's a classic and the best release of
the film.

One of the true genuinely scary classic horror films. Unlike many "horror" films that come out now which rely on cheap thrills and shock screams, The Shining is psychologically frightening and hard to stop thinking about days after watching it. Kubrick masterfully builds tension throughout, making Overlook Hotel a classic horror movie setting with the likes of the Bates Motel and the Orca from Jaws. A must see for any film fan, even if horror is not your favorite genre.

This DVD is the original movie, but is digitally remastered, and looks much better than my old VHS copy of The Shining!! Includes 2 DVD's, one is the movie, the 2nd is behind the scenes, and making off stuff (really great for fans).

The DVD comes brand new and still factory packaged!! Just Buy It!!!!

What i love about this movie is, i wouldn't have learned to love it if i never started to watch it back this past summer. ive seen it once and i love it! there really isn't anything i don't like about this movie. and why i decided to buy it was, i didnt want to watch it on my g/fs tape of it! dvd are just better.

Everytime I view this film it gets better and better. King should be very pleased with this film. Should be on everyones Top 10 horror movies.
A true classic "scare ya" picture.

The Shining, is a visual masterpiece done by none other than the legendary Stanley Kubrick. His imagery and attention to detail make a true fan watch the movie 100 times and still find something new everytime. I hate to give away details, but if you have never seen this film, watch it. I am only twenty years old, yet this is my favorite movie ever.

I have looked for this DVD in local stores, I was thrilled when I found it on e-bay. I bought it for a friends birthday.

This is Jack at his best. I have a 14 year old daughter who loves horror but says that none of them are "scary" so I got her "The Shining". She is now a fan. The 2007 DVD is very nice with the widescreen and bonus footage. Looks as good as it did in the theaters almost 30 years ago.
