This VHS tape brought back so many memories of watching the Shindig! TV series and also of the ill-fated Righteous Brothers. This tape was very enjoyable, but made me realize the sadness of the unfortunate fate of such a talent as Bobbie Hatfield.

Rare and RighteousThis is a very rare half hour collection of performances by the Righteous Brothers spanning their time as one of the ensemble players on the mid 60's show Shindig. These are the only video performances that I know of from their hit-making period. Includes "You Lost That Loving Feeling", "Unchained Melody" and several other selections featuring their trademark "blue-eyed soul" performance style and sound. The only drawback is that these are kinescopes leaving a lot to be desired regarding the audio quality. This is not the fault of the original producers but unfortunately was the fate of the vast majority of Shindig performances. Still this is great stuff to have available.
