Shiloh (DVD, 2001)

First of all, I like dog movies, so that's why I bought this one. I liked the movie. It's about a boy who makes a deal with a not so friendly neighbor to buy his dog in order to protect the dog from further abuse. To me, it was a realistic movie, meaning it could happen in real life and it's not at all like a fairy tale, but does have a good ending. I also bought the 2nd movie and will be buying the 3rd movie to see how it goes as well.

As a classroom teacher, I found that my students really enjoy the book Shiloh. The DVD is great to add as a reward afterwards. Good DVD and helps students take note of some differences between the book and the DVD as part of their assignments.

I was very happy that I was able to buy the dvd Shiloh because my grand daughter really loved Shiloh 2 but when the dvd arrived Batman was inside the Shiloh case. I emailed the seller and she let me know that as soon as I sent Batman back she would send the right movie. She never did and didn't respond to emails. Paypal did refund my money but I was still out the $6. for sending the Batman dvd back to seller. I feel I was ripped off. It will be awhile before I buy off ebay again. Too bad a few bad apples have to ruin it for the honest sellers.

I got this movie as a prize for a contest, and within a month I had a beagle of my own (named her Shiloh of course), and it's been a great move. We adopted her from a shelter (I also recommend that), but it would have never happend had it not been for this movie. Family friendly, I let my kids watch it whenever they want.
