Really terrific book! It is packed full of very interesting history of how the Shelley potteries began and how they came to be one of the finest potteries in England. The authors give the reader detailed information of the art directors (Frederick Rhead, Walter and Eric Slater, etc.)and their contributions to Shelley & Wileman. It has plenty of colour pages and black and white alike, although it isn't the typical picture book that I see so much of without any history. It is truely the best book I have read on the history of Wileman/Shelley Potteries and I highly recommend it to any and every Shelley/Wileman collector.
