Sharp Viewcam VL-E630U

I was only interested in the accessories for the camera, it would have helped if camera worked also but I knew what I was buying it for so I am pleased with the accessories that came with it, those items are hard to find separate.

I own an idenical camera to this one. I bought this camera as a back up to the one I own. I have many 8mm movies that can only be seen on a 8mm camcorder. I am now in the process of converting the 8mm to DVD.

As I was saying the picture appeared great but each time I tried to record or view video - would start flashing eject tape Well I messed with it a little to much I suppose because it quite powering on and thats that !! I have had a similar model in the past but I believe it was a little sturdier and actually was heavy.

This is a neat little first timer camcorder. It is real easy to use with no hard to figure out features. It is real simple none techinical a kid could figure it out. The only thing about it is if you do get one that already comes with everything like your batteries and charger they are alittle pricey for an older camcorder to order a charger from sharp is $120.00 plus shipping. I did a search on ebay and found a wall charger for this model for 24.99 plus shipping that is the only down fall. Other than that it is real simple for anyone. Great for kid wanting to play around at parties and stuff.

Extra large viewing screen. Nice size (not bulky)to take videos.The 40x zoom, brings far away shots up really close..Playback has a really good picture.The only drawback I can find is the batteries over time tend to lose their recording time (But all camcorders have the same problem though) so a spare battery would be a good idea when recording an important event.....
