The LC-26GA5U utilizes Sharp's proprietary Advanced Super View/Black TFT Panel, which provides levels of high brightness (450 cd/m2), an 800:1 contrast ratio, and wide viewing angles (170÷ H x 170÷ V). Additionally, the LC-26GA5U is an HDTV Monitor, which means it is compatible with 720p signals from HDTV sources (separate DTV decoder required).

    This television is fantastic and I could not have been happier with this purchase, unless of course it was larger. The prices have come down significantly and these televisions are available at a very reasonable price. The picuture is incredibly clear and the sound is very good. Using the S-video I get the most from my cable and the component connection for DVDs make every scene pop. Add to that the ability to modify the view depending on the source of the video and what you are watching, this is the best television I have ever owned. I have never noticed any of the ill effects described with other LCD televisions. The only thing that would make this television better is more advanced audio input capabilities.

    I'd consider this something to spoil you, but when you get it; it becomes more of a how did I live without it item.
