Shania Twain - Live (1999, DVD)

This concert is “NOT” Shania’s Dallas Cowboys special, but was recorded in 1999 in Dallas.
This concert can be watched in whole, or by individual songs (Tracks). But, the track list on the back cover list 1-24 tracks, but with the opening track, there are 25 tracks on the DVD. Therefore, the tracks on the DVD and the back cover list, are off by 1 (Ex: If you want to watch track 12 from the back cover list, go to track 13 on the DVD). This DVD does not have a center channel (No direct vocals of Shania). I would rate the audio as decent, and the picture quality good. Although, there are camera views from the back of the stage as well, the best way I can think of to describe the audio and video quality is, what you would have actually gotten, if you were on the front row of the concert. You get 2 hours of concert footage, and a ton of songs.
As usual with Shania, there are good views of her band. I’ve always liked Shania’s love for kids, local talent and audience participation. There is an 8 year-old Dallas girl that sings a song with Shania, and for an 8 year-old, she’s pretty good. There is an old clip of Shania singing when she was 10 years-old. Shania brings an older man on stage, and to be honest about it, she should have left him in the audience, his dancing and jumping all over the place is quite annoying.
Shania is my favorite. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this DVD. I found it entertaining, full of energy, and Shania gave an awesome concert. So, my recommendation is, if you like Shania, “BUY IT”, you will like it, and will want to watch it over and over.
