WANNA BE A SHAMAN?

Alot of "Shaman" books seem to repeat alot of the same philosophies about making your way towards enlightenment. Look for Animal Totems, Cleansing, Nature, Tools of the Shaman, The Wheels, Sacred Sprits, Minerals, and so on. Why should you buy ten different books that all say about the same thing? The answer is simple...You shouldn't!
What I recommend is taking the time to read and study a few books on varied subject matter in great detail. The few books that you read should be varied by era written, topics covered, and preferably location (USA vs Europe, etc...). I know a few books doesn't seem like alot to be a "master" on any topic and your right, it's not. The diffence is once you grasp the concepts in great detail, it will only take a few minutes of picking up any Shaman book you come across, to know if your going to be reading 90% of the same material you already know. Once you have an established idea of what knowledge you already know, you can eliminate buying ten books that say basically the same thing and start buying books that offer new information for your journey!!!
Stephen Larsen's book is a great place to cover myths about Shaman's and the actual Mental Philosophy of Shamanism ,as it focuses alot on the Psychology of Shamanism. It's subject matter, is mostly the Psychology vs. Spiritualism debate, that opens your mind to new ideas and beginnings. A nice read to add some knowledge to your journey!! I hope you enjoy the Psychology behind this book!
