Synopsis
A young orphan boy is ordered by his master to infiltrate Shakespeare's acting troupe in order to steal the script of "Hamlet," but he discovers instead the meaning of friendship and loyalty.

In Elizabethan England, an orphan named Widge goes to live with a cruel and unscrupulous man. Because of his unusual ability to write in a secret shorthand, Widge is forced by his master to transcribe a purloined copy of "Hamlet"--stolen from William Shakespeare himself.
