    I bought this book because I liked the title and front cover. Fortune favored me in that this is an excellent book. I have read it and placed it in my special collection of books to read over and over.

    Join Shadow an elf and a thief who returns to Allanmere a mere 200 years after she last left. The last of her tribe she makes friends with humans easily, but moves on before they get old and die while she stays young. Trouble reigns when Shadow lifts a bracelet from a nobleman's pocket. What trouble will it lead Shadow too? And what is the secret of the braclet? Who will end up the "king" of the Thieves Guild?
