This first season is good, and we started trying to see all the seasons, but it was way too much of what was a good thing!

Not for repeated viewing...or for a marathon of episodes... but is fine in small doses!

This has got to be one of the best shows ever!! I never watched it when it was on TV, but heard so many people talking about it even after it ended, I just had to watch it and find out what the big deal was for myself! Once I started, I couldn't stop!! I would stay up every night and watch at least 2 hours worth....I was definitely hooked!! It's every single city girl's life story, the trial and tribulations of dating, working, partying, etc. There was never an episode where I didn't laugh! Highly recommend it, can watch endless repeats. Great for getting together with the girls and just hanging out!

If you're a fan of the gals and their exploits - you have to go back to where it all began - in Season One. A lot of laughs here - you can't go wrong.

I just have to say, I was not a fan of the series until I saw the movie then it was all down hill from there. I am now hooked on it as much as I am hooked on the House series(huge fan of that as well)! I have watched all the episodes I could with my cable ondemand and have run out of them in just 2 days. I love these girls just can't get enough! I can't wait till I have all six seasons I already have the movie.

The demographics that this show was aimed at were women, but it can be enjoyed by men alike. The humor is lowbrow, but done very tastefully and quite hilariously. Even as a middle-aged male, I enjoy this show (for more than the nudity) because it is well written and helps me to understand some women just a little bit better.

If you enjoy being entertained and seeing a different point of view from people, then this show is for you! While it was on HBO, I didn't think I would enjoy it, so I didn't watch it. I bought a copy of some of the episodes at Jake's Flea Market in Bally PA last weekend. I immediately fell in love with it.

Sex and the City is sexual humor at its best.

I was hooked from the very beginning!! Hysterical...Every woman has experienced some of these moments in their lives. I could watch them over and over again!! I would recommend this to everyone!!

Not having HBO, I didn't get to watch the series originally. I have bought on ebay all 6+ seasons and can't get enough! Great writing and so funny!

i bought complete 1st season of sex and the city , and i recieved the dvd set very fast, and the whole set was like i bought brand new from a store(not 1 scratch on it)i love the convience of shopping online.. i highly reccommend buying off ebay again!

I give this a 5 out of 5, because I love the series overall. And loved the series ending in season 6. Although, really this first season had some flaws, which they fixed in seasons 2-6. Mainly, I did not like the main character (i.e., Carrie) mugging the camera and making remarks to the viewing audience. I thought it distracted you from the story line, and it was a cheesy attempt at humor. Thank goodness they dropped that for the remaining seasons. But other than that little flaw, this was a fabulous show, and perfect in every way that matters -- complex character development, evolving engaging storylines, vunerability in the even the most strongest characters. Awesome show.

SATC is one of the BEST shows I've ever watched!!!!

What's soooooo good about this show is that it tells the truth about relationships. My husband calls it a "Male Bashing" show - but it's just as hard on females (at times).

Ladies - SATC gives some great pointers on relationships & sometimes, how not to act with men.

Gentlemen - SATC will definitely give you some insight on the ladies!

Best series ever. I still watching it again and again. I'm so interested in the kind of live in New York that reflects the appreciation for the fashion, but there's a little exaggerated.

We need the opposed sex not just to be happy but to carry a life without complications too.

Sex & the City was truly a revolutionary series. For the first time, women were seen on television in powerful roles where the men were sidekicks, and the conversation had no boundaries. Just look at all of the copycats out there today: from Lipstick Jungle to Yasmin birth control pill commercials, everyone wants to portray the fabulous, fancy-free lifestyle of a powerful woman and her gaggle of friends.

But what really makes S&TC stand above all the others is its heart. These women become your friends because you learn all about what makes them tick. They aren't heartless, cold bitches, but people whom you could see being friends with, or could identify with. They have it all but something is always right out of their grasp, and so you cheer along with them as they succeed and want to console them when they blunder. The commercials can't do it justice, because there is no fun way of showing the camaraderie of friends when one loses the love of her life, marries the wrong man, or gets cancer. HBO allowed the characters free rein to say anything, just like we do in real life, and the results can't be duplicated.

There's only one Sex & the City.

These four women on this show are SOOOOOOO over rated! I'm so glad this show is over and will be estatic when the movie is done with already. What's the appeal here? As they say on Family Guy, it's about three old hookers and their mother.
