This is a good book for beginners to experienced. Fairly technical on many of the stitches. Quite a bit of information on hand sewing different kinds of stitches which are now available using a machine. Explained many of the different features of sergers which is quite helpful.

I like the layout of this book....very easy to find anything you currently are interested in learning next about. Each handsewn stitch and machine stitch has a page or two of descriptive information as well as good pictures. It is a very easy-to-access excellent reference book ...I have numerous sewing books but none quite like this one. It fits into my sewing library quite nicely and I think once I have read this and highlighted it in yellow (like I do with all my how-to-do books) I will be referencing this book a lot!

) This is a very informative book especially in regards to the different types of fabric. I'm new to sewing and I'm sure this book will be very helpful. There are lots of hints on working with different fabrics and performing various sewing techniques. I look forward to using this book frequently.

The Sewing Stitch & Textile BibleThis is a fantastic book for anyone who sews. It is full of information that anyone from the casual to the professional seamstress can use. The book is illustrated well and the instructions are easy to understand. This book is a great point of referrence when looking for a technique without having to go thru all my other sewing books. It covers everything from stitches made by hand and machine to fabric description and care. This book also covers zippers, seams, buttonholes, attaching elastic, and applique just to name a few. It is a sturdy book which means it can take a lot of handling. I am very pleased with this book and highly reccommend it to anyone interested in sewing.
