An excellent reference

This reference from Singer is a great addition to my sewing library. It provides a great deal of useful information and pictures (color photos!) The book does not include patterns, but it includes instructions for a couple of patternless projects and ways to alter patterns, not just for fit but for style also.
I own four lingerie-making books; each of them has its own unique value. This one is easily obtainable and relatively inexpensive. The pictures are great and many techniques are presented; there is a wealth of knowledge here regarding working with lingerie fabrics and trim. Unfortunately the book does not have much info on fitting or on bra-making.
My personal favorite lingerie book so far is "Sewing Lingerie that Fits" by Karen Morris. It is out of print, I believe, and tends to be somewhat expensive to obtain. Keep an eye on ebay or your favorite used book source for an inexpensive copy.
In terms of "bang for the buck," the Singer lingerie book is a fine choice. It isn't my favorite, but it is excellent, and the pictures are absolutely gorgeous.
