It explains how to make your own patterns or tweek existing patterns for skirts, just using your body mesurments to create patterns that fit you to a tee! I love this book, it is very modern in its styles and use of materials only draw back is it's too short! more long skirts would have been a nice add.

This book is great for beginners and intermediate sewers. It has very clear directions for making skirts without a pattern.

I originally checked this out of the library because I design clothing and love to find new ideas.
Well, I wasn't disappointed with this book! In fact I didn't want to wait for Borders, so I found one on E-Bay.
My book arrived in a matter of days, was in new condition and packed securely.
If you are looking for some new, easy ideas for skirtmaking, this is the book to get.
The retro pictures and graphics give this book a special charm!

Make it your way!This is an excellent book for creative types with previous sewing experience. It provides great ideas with easy to follow "guidelines" for recreating them YOUR way. It is definitely NOT for beginners or people who follow instructions like the Sewing Police are after them! I especially liked the measuring techniques provided for drafting individual patterns. All in all, I felt it was definitely worth the money invested and space on my bookshelf.

Not a great book for beginners
) I already owned the book SEW WHAT FLEECE and loved it! I decided that the skirt book would be a good addition to my library and I could sew some skirts for the summer. The skirt that I like the best is a peasant skirt and I definitely need some help making it. Thankfully my Mom can help me. If you are making a simple A-line skirt it might be ok for beginners. I do like the ideas in the book, but it could use some more detailed instructions. I'd give it a C.
