Movie Description A 30-year-old, unmarried Jewish woman living in a small town in Czechoslovakia is forced to marry a man she doesn't love to avoid being sent to a labor camp during World War II. Joined by other woman villagers, her decision becomes a likely trend that sparks suspicion amongst Nazi officials. When she becomes the seventeenth bride to be married in one day, the Nazis void all of the ceremonies that took place, arrest all of the women, and terrorize them before shipping them off to the camp on a death train. Based on true events, THE 17TH BRIDE captures the strength and spirit of women who actually lived through this period in 1942.
