Sevens by Garth Brooks (CD, Nov-1997, Capitol Nashville Records)

Garth's the reason I started listening to country music. (Cough) years ago a local radio station was switching genres and for a week they played nothing but Garth Brooks music. KGARTH 102.9 they called it. After that week I went out and bought this album from Wal-Mart, paid full price too, because it contained my still favorite song, "She's Gonna Make It".

In between that song and the hit still played on the radio, "Two Pina Coladas" sits my second favorite of the album -- the powerful and moving, "I Don't Have to Wonder". I wouldn't do it justice describing it so you'll just have to buy the CD. There's even a 'Christmasy' song on here. It's a tale of the true story of American and German soldiers holding a cease fire for Christmas at the Battle of Belleau Wood in WWI.

Whether you're just getting into Country and Western music (at least that's what everyone who doesn't listen to it calls it) or you're a die hard fan, this is a must-have for your country collection.
