Setting Limits With Your Strong-Willed Child by Robert J. MacKenzie (2001, Paperback)

This book is incredible. We saw results within days of implementing the program. It is really nothing I didn't already know, but it really makes you understand WHY stong-willed children do what they do! They should make parents read this before they leave the hospital with their babies! (We would have a lot less bratty kids in the world!)

A friend of mine loaned me a copy of this book. After reading it, I had to have a copy of my own. As a parent of 4 with 3 good, but rowdy boys, I found this book to provide practical ideas to help manage our household without yelling. So many other books provide tons of theory with unattainable expectations. It was refreshing to read a book with great theory followed by real life scenarios and how to apply that theory. It made it easier...not easy, but easier. It's the best parenting book I've read on dealing with a child that has a strong mind of their own.

This book is great. It has some excellent techniques that worked well for me. I really like his strategies overall.
