Set It Off (DVD, 1999)

THIS IS ACTUALLY A TITLE I PREVIOUSLY OWNED, BUT LET SOMEONE BORROW IT AND THEY NEVER RETURNED IT. IT IS ONE OF MY MANY FAVORITE MOVIES WITH SOME OF THE BEST ACTRESSES IN THE BUSINESS. THE MOVIE ACTUALLY HAS A STORY LINE AND "MAKES SENSE".

I love this movie!! I have been looking everywhere for this movie to buy or rent and had no luck! I was so glad to find this on here I couldnt wait to get it in the mail and watch it!!!

I truly believe that this selection is a classic staple in anyone's urban movie collection. Queen Latifah shows her acting versatility at its rawest, while Jada Pinkett (now Pinkett-Smith) brings it like only she can; a beautiful blend of 'hood, natural beauty, and enough attitude for two. I don't even know how I managed to forget about this one as long as I did. Enjoy!

Ya know why I luvit- Cuz chics rule :P! Wut? It could happen... I like the retro "tip" on the cars, and the toons. I luvs me some Vivica (named a pet after'a). In reality [I suppose] it's a sad story, if you wanna go there. But I think it's realy funny, in the scene where they sit around a table, and immitate wise guys, accents & all lol. And the part when the chic's lookin at the lineup to finger Lattifah's character, and Lattifah's got that "look" on her face- Priceless! It touched me in the end, when the cop sees Jada's character on the bus, and doesn't persue her or let on that she's get'n away. There're so few strong black women type films out. This one's a hit- Ya feel me?

I really loved this movie about these three black sisters. Did not dislike the movie at all. I brought the movie because of the cast as well. Received in excellent condition and received quickly. Thanks.

I would have liked this movie better if I didn't have to see Queen open mouth kiss another girl and fondle her when she was wearing little to nothing. The movie had a lot of foul language. But other than that it was entertaining.

I loved this movie when I was young, and after not watching it for over 5 years I decided to purchase it on DVD. Great move on my part, the movie is still as good as I remember it and feels even better watching it on DVD. Queen Latifah and the rest of the cast do an excellent job in portraying their characters and each of their different lifestyles. Will watch over and over again!

This was a great movie. It showed a system of justice and injustice. Depicted the life of 4 women looking to take shortcuts in life to obtain what the world sees as being successful and happy....MONEY.... but it turned out you must be living to spend it. But to really be happy and for the money to mean something in life we must earn it!!! A lesson that was not obiviously learned by these ladies. A must see!

i loved the fact that the jersey price was so low...the only thing that i disliked was that you guys only had the manning jersey...but its ok...i like it anyway...thanks again

Its a cool Escape movie. Good action. Story makes sense. All the characters has good backround stories. its a good fun to watch on a rainey day. and a great gift.

This movie was great; it was fast-paced, action-packed, some very funny scenes, some not so funny, but loved the way the characters inter-acted with each other. A believable story about friendship and love! Loved Queen Latifah!!!

I just purchased this movie after seing it one week prior. It is an amazing movie that leaves you with a true sense of empathy for people striving in this world to do anything they can to get by. This dvd also includes great bonus features including a music video by Ray J. I definately reccomend this as a purchase for anyone who wants to relax and watch life in the real.

Excellent movie. I love it because of the togetherness they showed and stuck as a team to acomplish their goal and never left one behind.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE. The sisterhood, friendships, struggles and battles, are deeply reflected in this movie and it can and will touch anyone who has a conscience. Each character is someone that you know, whether they are shy and timid, a lesbian, someone trying to do right or someone who uses themselves to make ends meet. I love the concept of the movie, realizing that this storyline occurs all to often in reality. It is a great movie with great acting. I could watch it over and over again and still get shaken up by it. I recommend this movie to any and all.

this movie was the bomb!!! it was funny, down-to-earth, and real. it made me laugh som parts, and cry on other parts. i absolutely love it. great job jada pinkett!!!

Wow I must say this is one of my favorites I watched this movie for the first time about 4 years and I dont just want to give it away and tell you what its all about but it is the perfect action movie for a night in on the couch believe me you wont want to leave you seat. It may start out as a real bore but as it moves on its so good exspecially the end.

The movie was, in my opinion, quite good. Some of it even hit close to home. The movie is loved and cherished very much by my Wife & by Wife I mean Life. The sound track was great, but only one song in particular caught my attention, and brought tears to my eyes, "Missing You". There are a lot of songs out there that sing about a lost love ones, close friends, or spouse's, well you get the point. To me, and I have played a lot of songs like this, but never have I played one that has hit the target each and every time, as I am a DJ. Most people don't know what they want to hear when the have lost someone. They dedicate songs or sing songs that they think is the right one at the time, but when they hear this one, it says everything that they can't, but want to, all within 6 minutes. Nine times out of Ten, I am always thanked in the highest regards, and that Tenth person, well their just to overcome to say anything. The expression on their face says it all, and that is something you can't put a price on. I just hope that if I ever need to hear this song to remind me of the good times, bad times, sad times, & happy times that they think enough to play this song for me to get me through, because when that day comes, I'll need it and every friend I have by my side..................................

I LIKE THIS MOVIE BECAUSE IT IS A ACTION MOVIE, IT IS ABOUT FOUR BLACK FEMALES BEING FED UP WITH THEIR LIVING CONDITIONS AND DECIDED TO CHANGE IT BUT DIDN'T THINK ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES. I LAUGHED AND CRIED WITH THE CHARACTERS, I FELT THE PAIN THEY FELT AND WAS DRAWN TO THIS MOVIE. I FIRST SAW THIS MOVIE AT THE THEATER AND WANTED IT FOR MYSELF FOR KEEPS. I LOVE ALL THE CHARACTERS IN THIS MOVIE AND THE BLACK FEMALES ARE SOME OF MY FAVORITE ACTRESSES, I LOVE QUEEN LATIFAH , VIVICA FOX, AND JADA PINKETT-SMITH VERY MUCH AND THEY HAD A LOT TO DO WITH WHY I BOUGHT THIS MOVIE. IT WAS SUCH AND INTENSE AND EMOTIONAL MOVIE AND IT SHOWED WHAT HAPPENS TO PEOPLE WHEN THEY BECOME DESPERATE FOR MONEY AND DON'T THINK ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR ACTIONS. I REMEMBER THE ACTOR THAT WAS JADA PINKETT-SMITH BOYFRIEND IN THE MOVIE TOLD HER MONEY SHOULD NEVER COME BEFORE FRIENDS, BECAUSE TRUE FRIENDS WILL LAST A LIFETIME AND CANNOT BE REPLACED AND SHE STILL WENT AHEAD WITH THE BANK ROBBERY AND LOST ALL OF HER GIRLFRIENDS FOR THE MONEY. I LOVED THE MOVIE BUT WISH IT HAD ENDED DIFFERENTLY.
