Session 9 (DVD, 2002)

wow, this is a good one. if you have not seen this picture, then you are truly missing out on a horror/suspense masterpiece. this picture, i belive, was a made for HBO picture, so was not widely received, or viewed by anyone outside of HBO subscribers. although it was released on DVD and VHS, very few rental locations hyped it, or even stocked it, for that matter. shot in an abanodoned mental hospital, this tale is one of an asbestos removal crew, hired to make this old structure safe for possible sale or re-use. David Caruso, of mostly TV drama fame, headlines this troupe of talented actors through a miriad of twists and turns, and creepy segments, which leave you guessing, and second guessing yourself throughout. the location for this picture could not have been better, as this structure, apparently, is actually considered haunted. it is a film that makes you think, rather than just watch. refreshing in this day and age of remakes and video game adaptations. i have hyped this film to many of my friends, some horror fans, some not, but they all have enjoyed it, and many have watched several times. it is a film which leaves you with that "creepy feeling", for lack of a better term, after you've seen it, much like the Exorcist or The Omen, although the devil plays no part in this one. check it out. you will not be disappointed.

If you are looking for a movie with a ton of gore and some hot teenage actress that is going to take her shirt off, skip this. If you want survival horror, skip this. If you want an intellegent well put together film that give you something to think about at the end, this is the movie for you. If you are looking for some beautiful and haunting cinematography, this is also the film for you. It is a great ending with an interesting twist, from a great director. Well worth the time (and cost because it is usually really cheap).

i loved it a lot it was different from what i'm used to, good movie.
i will get more of these kind of movies in the future.

great location, like the creepy feeling you get through the whole movie...just not as scary as I wished.

Everything worked out beautifully. Its been a movie that has escaped for me quite a while. It's real twisted and a nice movie to enjoy on a rainy day.

Very fast shipping! Decided to buy it because I live outside of Danvers an have always heard about the now closed ; Danvers State Hospital and how creepy and scary it was!

Nice, creepy location, great performances, and a twist. One of the really great overlooked movies of this decade.

great movie i lived in danvers mass and rember the old state hospital it was a creepy place when it was open and became even more creepy when it closed. i can only imagine the horrors that went on in the hospital when it was open. this movie shows you the inside of the patient ares and you can only imagine what they went through. be sure to watch the bonus material it opens up new chapters of the movie and the aura of the hospital it was filmed in

This horror movie is an intricate web of character's lives all woven together. Its not just one person influencing the outcome, but all parties in the HazMat removal crew contribute to the deadly outcome. The DVD is clear and clean and the movie is a great "mind bender". Be sure to get your popcorn before you begin watching, because you will need to see everything to figure out what happens in the end. A few twist and turns are confusing, but it is destined to be a "great" in the horror genre.

MY ROOMMATE AND I RENTED THIS MOVIE FIRST . WE LOVED IT. SICNE THAT TIME HE HAS BEEN WANTING TO PURCHASE IT. SO I DID , WE WATCHED ITA GAIN LAST NIGHT AND IT WAS EVEN BETTER THE SECOND TIME. I NOTICED MANY THINGS I AHD NIOT SEEN BEFORE. THIS IS NOT AND "EASY WATCH" MOVIE, YOU MUST PAY CLOSE ATTENTION. IT YOU ARE NOT THAT TYPE OF PERSON YOU WILL PROBALLY NOT LIKE OR UNDERSTADN THIS MOVIE. THIS ONE MAKES YOU HAVE A DISCUSSION AFTERWARD!! BUY IT!

rented this one time & purchased it a short time later. atmosphere as thick as potato soup, excellent acting on all parts, a tight, well-written script, & an immensely foreboding atmosphere that commands attention. let's just say that the first paragraph of "the haunting" ("of hill house") would be well-applied here. worth a rental if not a purchase.

I bought this DVD because I had seen it before with a friend and we thought this one part was hilarious. It's a bit creepy, but nothing terrifying - not even close. It seems like it was a low budget film. But it is pretty good anyways. I'd reccomend renting it before you buy it.

I thought that the product that I bought was worth the money, but it took a long time for me to receive the product and I did not get any feed back on my account. I decided to buy the movie because I saw it and it is a very good movie.
