Sesame Street - The Street We Live On: 35th Anniversary Special (DVD, 2004)

This is a great DVD that incorporates some of the newer characters from Sesame Street along with the characters that have been around since the beginning. It also contains some older clips that I remembered as a child. Very entertaining for both my five and two-year old!

This DVD is Sesame Street at its best. There are loads of songs...the usual educational, fun sing-a-long types. Every character on Sesame Street shows up. They visit Elmo's World, recite some nursery rhymes, count with The Count, and even The Grouch has an appearance. If your child is as much a Sesame Street fan as mine is he or she will very soon be singing along and counting, too. The storyline incorporates some real-world footage as well.
We had borrowed this one at the library first and it was such a hit that I just had to buy it. What a great addition to our family-friendly DVD collection!

This dvd has the best of Sesame Street. It has clips from past and present Sesame Street, and Elmo's World is particularly cute with the discussion of how Cookie Monster eats a cookie. My one-year-old daughter loves it!

I purchased this video for my 18 month old son. He loves Sesame Street and this is now one of his favorites.

I loved the Sesame Street 35th Anniversary dvd. My 3 yr. old son loves elmo and was so excited when he got it for christmas. It is one of his most favorite movies.

My son loves this DVD. It has all of the classic Sesame Street Characters, and new ones as well. It features a lot of Elmo, which my son loves. If your child likes Sesame Street and Elmo, they will love this one!!!!!

If only I could show you my 2 year old's face when he first saw this video. Now mind you, he is an avid Elmo fan so when we purchased this movie, we thought it was going to be just another Sesame Street video. I was wrong! This one has so much singing and action, he barely took his eyes of it. I'd have to say that this is our new favorite.

This is a great movie. It takes you back in the days and shows you bits and pieces of previous sesame street episodes, like when Maria and Luis got married and when gaby was a baby, and when Miles was adopted. My one and two year old love Elmo and cookie monster so they just sat there all hypnotized with the movie and that rarely hardly ever happens.

I decided to purchase this movie because my daughter loves Elmo. Not only is Sesame Street educational but it also teaches children about eating healthy. It teaches basic spainsh and shows children some positve ways to show and express their emotions. This is a fantasitc movie!

I bought this for my 2-year-old son who is, frankly, obsessed with Elmo right now. If we would allow him, he'd watch this same DVD over and over again. It offers many classic Sesame Street moments (from the days when I would watch it as a kid) to contemporary snippets. It's well done and entertaining, even for an adult to watch with the child. We have tons of Elmo videos and this one seems to attract the most attention of our little one. I think all the videos are about the same length but this one has a lot of different Sesame street characters and the music is fun. It has lots of familiar nursery rhythm instead of just 'counting' the numbers or 'ABC' in other videos. I guess if you want a break to all those educational ones, this one is a hit!
