Sesame Street - Elmo's Potty Time (DVD, 2006)

Elmo's Potty Time DVD is an introduction to learning to use the potty chair for toddlers. The DVD discusses potty-related words in kid-friendly language. The DVD stresses that everyone uses different words and to use the words that you feel comfortable with. Elmo uses "pee and pooh", and Baby Bear uses "wee and wooh". Gordon discusses using the words #1 and #2, or numero uno and numero dos. The DVD also brings up the need for toilet paper, flushing the toilet, and washing hands. I found the DVD to be a good introduction to toilet-training for toddlers. At times my 2 year old son seemed disinterested, although the songs are lively and have good lyrics. You may want to skip the section of the DVD that shows how toilet paper is made. This part of the DVD is not very interesting for the under 3 crowd!

I use this video and some books to help my child with potty training. He was already going on the potty every once and a while but not consistently. He is a big fan of Elmo and Sesame Street. He loved this video. He watched over and over again. I personally think that it helped him on his potty training journey and I would recommended it to others.

If your little one loves Elmo (and who doesn't) what better way to introduce potty training than to use this video! The video encourages potty use & uses a matter of fact method about accidents & mistakes. The video makes going to the potty normal & states that everyone goes with fun songs & phrases. I recommend this video to all Elmo lovers & potty users!

This video shows alot of happy, smiling kids excited about being potty trained. Our daughter really enjoyed seeing other kids excited about this, and it made an othewise 'serious' training event fun for her. Highly recommend it to provide fun and motivation for your child.

I had it sent to my granddaughter (aged 2) in NC. She loves it and has been watching it when I call. This is especially good because we just found out she's going to be a big sister. She loves Elmo. I even got her some Elmo underpants.

I bought this DVD because my 3yr old does not have any intrest in the potty, but loves Elmo. He watches it over and over, but still nothing. He will pretend he's going so thats improvement. I do like it because they use words that kids understand, potty, pee pee, poop, with all the Sesame Street characters I am definetly glad I bought it, and would rcommend it to anyone trying to potty train.

I think that the Elmo video really does a great job teaching kids about the potty and washing your hands. I like how the video tells children that there are all sorts of names of the potty and what you call it when you use the restroom. My son loves Elmo and sesame street so it is not only soemthing that he likes but it is teaching him somthing! I would really recommend this video to someone if they are trying to potty train!

My daughter is a little over 2 and I was starting to think about potty training. She absolutely loves elmo so I thought I give this dvd a try. She has watched it multiple times and seems to be getting the idea. She has started to tell me she needs the potty but it is still after the fact. I woould definately recommend this dvd

My son is at the age when potty training begins. He also loves Elmo so we thought this would be a good way to teach him about using the potty. It is a very cute video and he seems really entertained.

I do not have much to compare this video to, but I did think that it was very educational for my daughter. My husband and I are having a heck of a time getting her interested in using the potty. So I purchased this video in hopes that it will encourage her to starting using the potty. The video is at a child's level, so I know she understood what she was trying to be taught. I do intend on showing her the video several more times! She repeated many of the things after we watched it so I know she is thinking about it! Overall, I would say it was a great purchase!

I LOVE this DVD. I think every little child out there loves ELMO, what a GREAT way to introduce Potty Training to Your Child! ELMO is learning to use the potty too, a great guide to help your child through this most difficult ordeal! We also bought an ELMO POTTY DOLL & we used both the Doll & DVD to introduce our Son to the World of Potty's. This DVD is Fun, Entertaining & Educational. They Should of had this DVD out 14 yrs ago when training my other one, it would have helped so much for Mommy's Potty Training Techniques! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this ELMO'S POTTY TIME DVD! Tmommyuv3

my grandson would go or not when he felt like it. after watching this DVD he is trained, wakes up dry and runs to the potty.

This is a very good teaching aid for small children that are at the potty training age.

This DVD is awesome!! It had my 19 month old daughter tugging on her pants and wanting to sit on potty first time she watched it.

Elmo and his Sesame Street friends (puppet and human) learn about moving from being in diapers to using the potty independently. Accidents are handled gently and honestly. The kids will love the songs and interaction with their favorite Sesame Street characters. I really liked that they used the different names for going potty from peepee/poopoo to urinate/deficate and everything in between.

This video works well with the Elmo Potty Training book. I happened to find the books at a local dollar store before i saw the video. The book includes poster, chart, stickers and coloring pages.

Both the video and the book include learning how to go potty, the feeling you get when you need to go potty, wiping, and washing your hands. Most books and videos i have seen focus on using the potty seat rather than the whole process. This set goes a long way in teaching the children proper personal hygiene.

I use this video with the kids in my childcare from those who are learning to use the potty seat down to the youngest who is a newborn. They all watch it and enjoy it. Learning can never start too early. Let the kids watch this video as soon as they know any of the Sesame Street characters to prepare them for the process of moving out of diapers.

My recommendation - GET THIS VIDEO!

This is a great tool for potty training. I play it several times a day so the twins will get used to the idea of using the potty.

This is not a substitution for hands on training, just a helpful aid.

My daughter loves this movie because she loves to watch elmo. She really listens to him and usually during the movie we have to pause it because she asks to use the potty since elmo uses the potty. It explains everything in a good manner and i think its a great helper tool when you decide to start training your child.

Keeps my 2 year old attention. Great from start to finish. After watching it he enjoys being a big boy and going potty in the Big Boy toilet.

We enjoyed watching, yes over and over, this DVD with our 2 yr. old son. He adores Elmo, and this was no different. I liked that it had Elmo's parents in it too...that was a change, as well as other typical Sesame Street "friends". BUT I didn't find it to be much of a learning DVD for us. My son definitely asks to go potty more now, but he just wants to play in the bathroom, or sit on his chair "like in the movie". It hasn't really explained the potty process. Still fun though...

I Never received the potty training DVD. He stole my money - BEWARE. He's a NO GOOD, DIRTY ROTTEN, CROOKED, THIEF SELLER.

I recieved the roduct faster than I expected. Its just what I needed for my toddler. She watches it most mornings and it does help in ways. Great songs!! Kudos to Sesame Street and the seller for understanding the need at a reasonable cost. Thank you!!!

My granddaughters absolutely love this DVD and their Potty training is coming along excellent.. I reccommend this to anyone with a potty training age child.

i found that elmos potty time was too long, my toddler got bored of of not even half way through. The idea of it is good though, she got very excited to see elmo, but again that wore off after a while.
