Serve God, Save the Planet..a different view.

I bought this book when I read that the author was part of church/ enviroment retreat. I thought the book was very good. It is not a how to book so much as a why to book. What really hooked me was his own stories of how he came to the conclusion he did and the viewpoint he takes that not everyone needs to do exactly what he and his family does. This is definitely a Christian viewpoint and that also is an attraction for me. There are many human interest stories that he relates that may not seem enviromentally related, but Sleeth helps us to see that in a multitude of ways enviromental stewardship and serving people and serving God really are related. Is this a book for convincing people to save the planet? Not unless they are already thinking that way. It did make me think that everyday I can serve God by doing things that may not seem to be spiritual, but acutally are. This book really helped me to decide to keep doing the "green" things I have been doing and to look for new and different ways to save the planet. Not everyone sees saving the planet in a spiritual way, but Sleeth gives reasons that God really is part of saving the planet.
