Slim Thug and the fellas come hard out of the gate, with a wicked reworking of 2Pac and company's classic Thug Life anthem "Str8 Ballin'." Production and rhyme styles range from hyped-up bounce to laid-back gangsta funk. Slim himself holds center stage, appearing on nine tracks, while a few Hoggs get ample time to shine, particularly C Ward, PJ, and Young Black, whose solo cut, "I'm Fresh," sets him apart as the group's tightest MC.
