Sergeant York (DVD, 2006)

Absolutely outstanding! Based on the true story of Alvin York - THE American hero of WWI. Gary Cooper got it right! It has the right "air" to it which almost makes you believe that you're standing alongside Alvin York. Remember that this is an old film - it can't be compared to the modern movies. This is one war film that school-age children should see and discuss. Absolutely belongs in the collection of a historian or militaria collector and, in my opinion, one which every American should see. This is a 2006 release of the much older movie in a DVD format and some re-mastering has been achieved to render it possibly one of the finest video presentations of this film.
