While the novel should be read first, it is in my opinion that this is a better version for students to watch after reading A Separate Peace. It is also very hard to find!

) The book should be read first before watching this original version. The second version of this classic movie should be viewed...a much better explaination of the story line. All-in-all, worth watching on a rainy day.
