These dang ol mics are right well purty if I say so myself. I tested them on a variety of drums, including kick, tom , hihat, snare, and they work very well. I would recommend these to anyone. Considering I am a student at a Pro Audio school, and our teachers use them, I would say they would suffice even the pro audio level.
