Sennheiser CX 500 Consumer Headphones

This is less of a review and more of a warning:

Don't buy these on ebay, from anyone.

It's too easy for someone to make a counterfeit and disguise it like the real thing (which I unfortunately fell for).

Go to an authorized dealer and get them.

And DO NOT get them from yangpengpeng2009

Some ways to tell if you have bought fakes:

-You will hear a banging in your ears every time the cord touches you

-The volume adjustment, when turned all the way down, will completely mute the sound. Authentic earphones will still let you hear a little of the sound, it will just be very quiet.

I already own a sennheiser cx500 headphones. i thought of buying one more for my friend. but this earphone doesnt stand upto the mark. the sound quality is very poor compared to those. i dont think these earphones are original. So please beware of fake earphones..

The build quality is bad. I've had 3 pairs break in 14 months under normal use. But I continue buying them because they are cheap and have outstanding audio quality for the price. The outside sound isolation is outstanding.

Excellent product. The best Headphones you can get for less than $20, and it´s even better than others headphones that cost more than $50, like Sony, Audiotechnica and etc

i check that the product had a good price, and i bought it because the seller in the product description write that this headphones werent original.

When i received it i notice that in general the product was generic, i became dissapointed because seller says one thing and i check another.

I hope ebay inform to sellers write the authentic description and no lies.

I recently bought a CX 500 headset, advertised as 'GENUINE'. Price looked too good to be true, but I trusted that a) ebay manages to eliminate false advertising and b) sellers do not take a chance and risk their reputation. I have communicated with the seller, who admitted they are fake, blames his supplier though but has not been willing to credit. Not a good experience for anyone, as I will be FAR MORE skeptical about buying on ebay.

I find that the sound is low even when I set my ipod past the mid point. This might be because of the shape of my ear chanel and not because of the headset. Other than this I find the sound to be of good quality.

For those that want a high quality set of in-the-ear phones, these fit the bill. The bass is deep and powerful, mids are clear and transparent, and the highs sparkle. As an added bonus, the inline volume control offers the convenience of attenuating the volume without having to fiddle with the controls on the player of jerk the plugs out to hear something outside - just slide the volume control to the lowest position.

All in all, these are very nice for the price and the sound quality is most excellent. Recommended!

Well-made, high-quality earphones. The only thing that shows this is a fake - country of origin and price. I've got 3 pairs and all of them work very good.

Sound quality was pretty good...but it only lasted a week.the right earphone has stopped functioning.The 3.5mm connector has also worn off.I'm disappointed with the quality of the product.
