Ms. Miller has done an outstanding job in character development in this story which deals with the marriages of two women. Delia, the older senator's wife, who despite an openly philandering husband, still somehow maintains a loving relationship toward him and Mari, her next door neighbor, the young professor's wife, who is still trying to find herself in her marriage and in the first stages of motherhood. An excellent story, well written and a very easy read.
Never saw the ending coming......and I always love that in a book.
