Semi Crazy by Junior Brown (CD, May-1996, MCG/Curb)

This collection of songs is the usual mix of fast paced songs with lightning quick solos by the master guitarist. The real soul of this album lies in the songwriting of Junior Brown. His sometimes comical tunes like "Get up every morning" overshadow his deep feeling in songs like "Parole Board" which, in itself, is reason enough to buy this CD. Though not qute the the CD that "Guit With It" is, this CD merits a listen and a place in the collection.

it brought back some good memories for me and i was happy to find it here on ebay and enjoyed dealing with the seller, fast delivery.

This was a spontaneous decision. Growing up I was fascinated with the Guitar. My favorite music was rock n' roll and my favorite group ended up totally different from my friends choices. I found The Ventures to be amazing. I sought out all their covers and then found their play along records series. In no time I was playing Wipe Out and Outer Limits. Those days faded away as baseball took my interest. I traded my Fender for a Rawlings and then time took it's toll. Once baseball ended, many, many years later I rediscovered my old guitar and music.

While driving home one day I heard the instrumental medley from this CD that included "Secret Agent Man" done in that same Ventures style. Needles to say I was hooked and sought it out. A week later I was enjoying it over and over.
