love that bob
I bought this album when it was first issued on vinyl in, I guess, '71, and couldn't really make heads or tails of it. I never really played it much and my original 2 lp set disappeared who knows where back in who knows when; but recently I listened to a friend's copy on CD and absolutely loved it. Realizing there was a huge gap in my Dylan collection without it, I bought a copy of my own. It's diverse, totally oddball, a bit corny (Bob does some real crooning here), even warm and fuzzy in places, and boasts a fine line-up of musicians. I say go ahead and give this much-maligned classic a chance - you might just get a kick out of it.
