After searching for it's identity as a show with some flat episodes and inconsistent character development in the previous seasons, writers Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld finally came up with a winning formula for success: When in doubt, just parody your own show and sit back and watch the fans line up! Finally, the "Show about Nothing" turns into the show that everyone wanted to watch! Episode 3, "The Pitch" sets the tone for not only the rest of this season, but the remainder of the years that this top-notch comedy sitcom aired on NBC. Everything just comes to together at the right moment - all 4 characters finally hit their stride at the same time and learn how to play off each other. Jerry Seinfeld, the poorest actor of the bunch and the most well-known comedian amongst them, ironically becomes the "straight man" for the other 3 characters. Elaine and Kramer hit their stride, but it is Jason Alexander who proves beyond a shadow of a doubt what an excellent actor he is with his portrayal of George Costanza. You cannot go wrong with this show, and it is guaranteed to make you laugh and keep you entertained. Incredibly well-written, with layered storylines that reach back into previous shows to provide an even greater feeling that you are watching a group of wacky, but lovable friends on TV.

Episode highlights (among others) include The Bubble Boy, The Wallet, The Watch (both showcase Jerry's family - hysterical portrayal of Jewish parents in New York City!), and the then famous The Contest, which pitted all 4 against each other to see who was "Master of Your Domain" (wink, wink)!

this was a great experence, no problems with seller,shipped very fast and in excellent condition. Watch it all the time and still laugh....this is one of the few programs that can be watched when kid are in the room.

Still have not received this item 2 months after purchase. Still hoping for an honest response. Wish I had checked recent comments about the seller. This person had at least 12 -15 serious recent complaints against them, Why does Ebay allow people like this to continue?
This seller tried to get confidential credit card information. Like another buyer commented, don't deal with people who don't use Paypal.

The seller advertised the DVD collection as opened but in pristine condition. However, one of the DVDs had a scratch and was unplayable in several places. When I brought this to the seller's attention, he didn't seem forthcoming in his responses. He finally acquiesced to issuing a refund, but only if I paid to send the product back to him. Cost-wise, was this worth it? As a buyer who was taking the seller on faith and reading "pristine condition" unambiguously, I felt I should not have had to bear any of the financial responsibility in rectifying the problem. I was hoping for truth in advertising. Apparently the seller didn't think so, and as a result, I would STRONGLY recommend that buyers be careful and beware exchanges with this seller.

I really think this is my favorite season. Everything is still new and fresh and original in season four and none of the eccentricities are annoying yet, so this a must-own for all Seinfeld fans. As always the features are great and easy to get to, but it is also great to just watch the episodes in the original format as well!

This DVD collection is easily one of the best on the market. In additions to deleted scenes and commentaries, there is a feature called Notes About Nothing which gives you small factoids about each episode while you are watching it. The replay value of this collection is unparalleled. Buy this.

This season is simply amazing, and is a must-have for ANY Seinfeld fan...some of the best comedy in years. I have never laughed harder. This may be the best show ever on TV. It is just great.

Season 4 is when Seinfeld started to get hilarious. I highly recommend to everyone looking for a laugh.

The Jerry Seinfeld show to me was very upbeat; to a tempo I really love to keep going to! I'm a long time watcher of that comedy he likes to be a custom to on the DVD, And it really does keep you going all the time. Elaine is one of the best in the DVD, Stay up on this funny presentation any day of the week!

Season 4 of Seinfeld is the season that made it a cult phenomenon. It has lots of really popular episodes in this season and this would definetely be the first season for people to get if their not sure which one to get. Some of the popular episodes include "The Pitch", the Emmy award winner "The Contest", "The Pilot", "The Junior Mint", "The Pick", and "The Bubble Boy". All of these have showed how great of a writer Larry David is and the show at it's absolute peak in comedy. If your a Seinfeld fan and you still haven't purchased this, then you need to get this soon. Not to mention that even though it's set in the early nineties, these shows and episodes are timeless and they'll never get old.

As I said before the overall transaction was satisfactory. The disc were in mint condition, the box was not even shelf damaged. Honestly It appeared that the product had never been opened. If it had it was barely used.

By mistake I made a duplicate payment for this item. I have contacted the seller since the day I purchased it on 3-9-09 everyday about getting a refund but they will not contact me back. No e-mails, nothing..... I understand it was my fault but accidents happen. I can not afford the extra money as I have been trying to buy Christmas presents and I am laid off. I sent the money seconds after I won the bid but the seller will not respond to me. VERY POOR business comunications. If you need the extra $14.06 maybe you should try a different line to earn money.

have not received this item to date. I am hoping it arrives this week. I know once I get it we will love it. After this email our seller gave us a generous discount and mailed out another copy he happened to have. We got it today and cannot wait to watch it. I love Seinfeld, but I bought this for my dad for Christmas. He was so excited, I couldn't believe it. He thinks it's hilarious!

I still cant believe the price. Overall everything was excellent and I could not be happier. The item arrived much quicker then I expected and best of all has completed my collection.

First the product came as if it was new. Also, this is season 4, which is really when I beleive seinfeld started to get good. The quality of the program is enhanced, compared to syndicated re-runs. Also, deleted scenes etc. A very good buy for the price. Best show ever made.
