  DPU 414 Mobile Thermal Printer

It's a thermal printer. Easy to set switches, no CD program to load. It worked with my sound meter just fine. Other printers have CD for set up on computer, but sound meter is not computer, CD setup would not work.

I do wish it came with a battery and power supply but I got those separately, after the printer came. I decided to buy it because it seemed like it should work, the price was reasonable, had photo and it was new in box. Problem was, seller did not know what accessories came with it "nib" so I had to wait until it arrived in order to find out that it came with no accessories (necessities), such as like a battery and plug in power supply.

The printer recharges the battery, so I don't need a separate battery charger, which is very good.

How can NIB mean it won't work unless you buy separately a battery and power supply? Seems goofy to me but there might be some reason the power part of this printer is sold separately. Very different packaging from the cell phone world.

What I didn't like is not knowing what was and was not in the sealed box but in the end it worked out just fine.

What I liked most of all is that I could actually find one of these mobile printers. I looked all over town and no one had anything like this for sale. I could only find it on ebay.

My preferred choise was the Zebra but I couldn't find any reasonably priced so I opted for this one. This model does not seem as robust, beltloop ready, so to speak, but I put it in a carrying case and I'm sure it will be fine.

After I was done hooking things up I decided I really didn't like having to be hard wired to the sound meter. Bluetooth seems likethe way to get rid or hard wire cables but it seems to be part of the USB cable group and this meter is old school, with the old 9 pin series plug. Can't have everything.
