The Secrets Of Isis - The Complete Series (DVD, 2007, Multiple Disc Set)

This DVD series is a great way to bring back the early Saturday mornings when heroes were actually heroes. They literally taught us lessons with the hope that we lived by them. I really enjoyed the extras including the cast interviews. It is a great tool for parents/guardians who want to teach kids life lessons or remind ourselves what it takes to be a hero.

Love the DVD. It brought back memories of Saturday mornings with a bowl of cereal in front of the TV.

I remember watching these when I was a kid. Now my kids can enjoy watching them as I did.

What is nice is that each episode has a valuable lesson to be learned at the end. My two daughters like the fact that this is a female super hero, but she is cool enough that young boys also like her.

My kids should get lots of enjoyment out of this series.

After years of waiting...one of my favorite Saturday morning shows has finally seen a DVD release. It tells about a high school Science Teacher finds an ancient amulet which gives her great powers which she uses to save lives,fight crime, and teaches us lessons. Yes...the show is ISIS! That great Saturday morning series of the 1970's!

What a great way to relive my childhood again! The set has ALL the episodes, Plus interviews and behind the sences..photo stills.

I like the set,... but the one drawback is the interviews. Sadly there is NO interview with the main star "JoAnna Carmon" (Isis) I can't understand why BCI Epcilpse would leave her out (didn't anyone there told her about the DVD release?). Sadly this DVD is NOT complete without her in it. This greatly reduces the rating the DVD release. I'm sure she would be upset if BCI completey ignored contacting her about this.

I give the DVD release a ***1/2 star release. It's Great to see this on offical DVD release. Reliving my childhood again. This is when TV was at it's finest! When tv nowadays has gone down badly. Isis is finally out at last.

Now if DC Comics and Warner Brothers would release the Shazam! series!. From what I'm hearing they are waiting until the big budget "Shazam" film is made.

At least we got ISIS! "Oh Mighty Isis" rules!

This collection is a great way to bring back the early Saturday mornings when heroes were heroes and infallible. They taught us lessons and hopefully we listened and learned. When I originally watched these we had no cable in our house and it was on an old console tv with 13 channels. The episodes are all here, the only thing missing are some of the morals that appeared at the end of each episode, and they are just like I remember them. I also enjoyed the extras including the cast interviews. I was disappointed, however, that there was no interview with Joanna Cameron herself. I understand she sells real estate in Hawaii now but it would still have been nice to hear her spin on the show. All in all, a good investment at a decent price. I intend to pass it on to my neices and nephews so they can enjoy Isis just as I did when I was there age. Hopefully the Shazam (Captain Marvel) episodes will follow soon to make a great set!

I Liked it. It was one of the best shows on television.I got the DVD after waiting a long time for it.She was a great actress and played her part well.

It is like a little bit of my childhood again. It was like I was 7 years old and sitting in front of my TV with my friends watching the Shazam! Isis hour again. I was soooooo happy to recieve it.

The complete series of The Secrets of Isis is a multiple disc set that is about an average high school science teacher who happens to find a super power while on an archaeological dig in Egypt. That power enables her to do good in the world,and help people in need. This is a wonderful series,that I watched when I was a kid, and I highly recommend it to anyone.

As a little girl I couldn't take my eyes off Isis..it broke my heart when this went off the air! Secrets of Isis tells the story about a Science Teacher Andrea Thomas on a dig discovering the amulet of Isis..she deciphors the writing on the back..after deciding to turn it in to a museum she tries it on then says the inscription "oh Mighty Isis" suddenly a voice fills the air telling her of her destiny Andrea Thomas is now heir to the throne of Isis..she is now Isis! A centuries dead Egyption Goddess Isis returns to protect the innocent and see to it the guilty pay for their crimes..my guess it is her revenge for the assassination of her own Husband Osiris and Child Horus centures earlier..whatever her reasons we need more like her now..Parents can rest assured their children will watch this show and learn valuable lessons while enjoying the storylines and the action..keep in mind this is a older show so the special affects are a bit cheesy and the sound isn't that great, neither is the picture on some episodes..but in all still a great show!!

I liked the videos that I bought. The videos were very informative and of great quality. I would buy a product from this seller again. The product was shipped quickly and I received my item promptly.

I loved the Captain Marvel/Isis series as a kid. I hope this brings back some fond memories.I can't find Shazam anywhere so this should at least hold me off till that series is released.

There was nothing I disliked about this DVD collection. I found it entertaining and somewhat educational. The series seemed to focus on a heroin saving lives and teaching valuable lessons and I think that is good thing. I bought because I always liked shows about super heroins, considering the fact I am a girl. Since people can learn certain lessons from watching this show, I find it fitting for young children. Children can learn and be entertained at the same time by watching certian shows so I suggest shows like that should be kept available for years to come.

This show was made in the early 1970's and so it was a trailblazer for other super heroines such as Wonder Woman, Bionic Woman, etc.... I am a fan of Filmation to begin with so this show has special meaning to me. I watched it as a child and enjoyed it. Mostly because I was beginning to admire strong ladies. I was sickly as a child, so ladies like Isis, BatGirl & Wonder Woman kept me going. They showed me that a girl could be just as important in the world as a man. The shows were made on a low budget so the special effects would be "cheesy" to most people today. But they were great to see as a child because it allowed the imagination to add more. Isis is a positive role model. Her alter ego is a science teacher and she is beautiful and intelligent. The shows had an ending moral as tradition with most of Filmation's works. They are fine entertainment with a little bit of crime solving and not a lot of violence. Again, when watching it remember when it was made. Respect it. It has been an inspiration to many young people.

I like how the DVDS were in good shape as advertised and i like how they arrived on time and i like how the picture and sound were as good as advertised and i also liked how ebay had them available as well as other hard to find DVDS that you can't find in ordinary stores.
