The Secret by Rhonda Byrne (2006, Hardcover)

I had to comment on a review by "Taylorgardens" in which was stated:

"The idea that you only need to be clear on what you want and you will "attract" it, might be partially correct. The step following the knowing what you want is not the waiting for its appearance, as the book suggest, it is taking the actions necessary to get it. That is what the book completely ignores."

"Taylorgardens" please finish reading the book! The book does not suggest that when you know what you want, you just wait for its appearance. It does not ignore the fact that you have to take actions that would bring about what you want. For example if you want to win the lottery you just don't say "I want to win the lottery" and just sit there and wait for it. You have to go out and take the necessary actions to try to get it, i.e. concentrate on the numbers, visualize yourself as already winning the lottery and the things you would be doing with the winnings and most importantly purchase the lottery tickets. How are you suppose to win if you didn't take the action of purchasing the tickets?

Unfortunately bad things happen and like the book states the Law of Attraction doesn't distinguish between good and bad or big and small. You can attract the negative just as easily as the positive. So think twice before stating "I hope I don't get into an accident" or "I hope somebody doesn't dent my car" after buying a new car.

Another thing to think about is what Mother Theresa stated. She would not attend an "anti-war" rally but would attend a "pro-peace" rally. Do you understand the difference? "Anti-war" gives power to, acknowledges and attracts more war! Even though you think that it is a positive thing, it is actually negative.

To me the book is great and everyone can have their own opinion about it but please finish the book or at least most of it before posting a comment. "Taylorgardens" you will see that your comment quoted above is completely false.
