The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word by Joyce Meyer (2004, Hardcover)

My 32 yr old son in law (father of a 3 yr old and 1 yr old son) was on life support (ventilator/feeding tube) in CCU with Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome. He was expected to die. Nothing could be done. I had a copy of Joyce Meyers book The Secret Power of Speaking Gods Word. When things were unbearable I read the passages on healing, victory and peace. Speaking those words helped buoy us all up in those hard days. Then other people in the waiting area said that they could hear me reading those words of God. They asked about the book and got a copy to read to their loved ones. My daughter wanted to keep the book that I read during that stay in the hospital so I order another from you. A miracle happened, after prayer, the virus suddenly disappeared and he began to heal. My son in law returned to work this week. He was off work over 100 days before he recovered enough to go back to his job. God is so good.

This book has many great aspects. Number one is the content, which is God's Word. It is written in a personal tense so you can speak it with true meaning for yourself. The Word is not changed at all, just a few added "I will," "I am," and etc. It is very organized making it easy to find a scripture relevant to your situation, like verses on fear, confidence, prosperity, etc. I try to use it every day during my time spent with God. I went through and bookmarked pages that really stood out for me and read those regularly. It's a wonderful tool that everyone should own. Speaking His Word helps to get it in you and change your mind and your attitudes. Speaking in faith is powerful and should be done every day.

I love this book! Very helpful! Organized very well. An effective tool for searching Scriptures for a particular need in a hurry.

So far I have loved everything that I have read by Joyce Meyer. What a blessing!

I decided to buy this book because I saw it advertised and felt it would be a perfect fit for my spiritual walk. It helps and individual learn how to use God's Word but you can't reach for your Bible. It is a compact, easy to read book. It is a wonderful source of using God's word and Speaking it daily. If you have to look up a scripture, it's right there. It can be slipped into a purse or carry bag. I am extremely glad that I bought it.

This fantastic book is filled with scriptures relating to any situation you can think of where you might need some positive reinforcement!! Joyce encourages you on how and when to quote God's word, to stand on His promises, and how to make the devil turn tail and RUN. I carry this book in my purse at all times!! I bought a second one and sent to my nephew who is serving in the military and is currently in Iraq. I will definitely buy more and continue sending them to our military!!

I like the fact that in this busy world Joyce has done the work for us. She has categorized scripture so that we can look it up quickly so that we can speak to our situations, knowing God's Word will not return void! I like the fact it is small & compact & can easily be carried by anyone without hassle or weight. I buy these for gifts, God's Word is the best gift we can give, it doesn't fade, rust or spoil, it is ETERNAL!

This is the most wonderful little book,carry in purse, auto, etc. There is power in speaking God's word. Any emotion, or trial faced in daily life is covered. Simply go to index, and it gives you several powerful scriptures. Read them, meditate on them. It has given me so much peace, and answers readily available, at hand. I would recommend to anyone, wanting to live a life filled with, peace, joy, and love.

You've heard of the little black book,well this is the little must have purple book.When I feel unsure or lonely I just open it up and read.I Love the messages.

This book is wonderful for grouping together scriptures so you don't have to look all over when you need them. It has helped me very much. The power of God's word spoken aloud is awesome.

If my house where on fire and everyone was out safely and I could only grab a
few things (on my way out) I would grab my photo albums, my Bible, & this small
powerful little life changing book! It is ALL scripture but in the 1st person,
so when you read it out loud you're saying, "I", "my", which makes it personal.
For example: "My children obey me in the Lord, for this is right..."Eph.6:1-3.

Compact book has almost every 'issue' a person might need help dealing with in every day life. Scripture is quoted and noted from which version (NKJV, The Message, NIV, etc.) it has been taken from. If you are familiar with Joyce Meyer or just 'getting to know her' - you will be glad you added this to your spiritual resources.

This book of Joyce Meyer's is amazing! It is important to confess the word of God in/over our lives and the lives of others. You will see transforming results. You have got to have this book!!!!

This is the absolute best condensed Bible help you'll ever find!! There are topics for every problem you may encounter. Very helpful is Ms. Meyer's explanation for reading the verses OUT LOUD. I've worn out my copy and have given countless copies away. I'm seeing marvelous changes in my family as a result of God's Word! Get several!

I bought this book to replace a copy of it that I had, and had given it to someone that I felt could benefit from it. Someone that was struggling with issues and didn't realize in some ways she was working against herself with negative self talk.
This book can help you turn negative self talk and negative attitudes (stinking thinking some might say) into positive self talk and positive attitudes. Also the Bible says God's word does not return void, so when you speak these good things out they can produce good things in your life for you through the power of God. Speaking His word out loud releases angels to help you and to do the will of God in our lives.
I also like the way Joyce Meyer words things. So simple and easy to understand, I don't feel like I have to have gone to 4 years of bible college to understand. You really can't go wrong with this book whether for yourself or for someone else or both!
