The Secret Life of Houdini by Larry Sloman, William Kalush (2006, Hardcover)

When I think about magicians only one name comes to mind the Great Harry Houdini, the most influential magician of the twentieth century, escapes being his specialty, be it handcuffs, ropes, straight jackets, medal jars, wooden boxes or even a locked up jail cell, Houdini would get out leaving his audience speechless. I got this book wanting to read about the magician and I couldn t put it down great insight on who Houdini really was and how he got his career started and never looked back.

My husband and I really enjoyed this book. Houdini was a fascinating character, and the book told us things about him that we never knew. Many of Houdini's secrets, concerning his life and magic, are revealed. The book is enthralling and well worth it purchase.
