The Secret Gratitude Book by Rhonda Bryne (2007, Hardcover)

I was drawn to The Secret Gratitude book because I have read The Secret (book). I already knew that there is a lot of power in having a grateful perspective. I bought it as a present to myself.

I started writing in this book (it is a journal with comments/quotes on gratitude on some of the pages)at the beginning of the year. It has been great. The book has one page for writing what you are grateful for and the opposite page is for writing thanks for what you want but don't currently have.

I love the book and I like the old fashioned look to it, with the one side of the book coming up and over the top of the front.

I didn't realize all of the wonderful things that I DO have until I started writing in the journal. And I've noticed that some of the items I wanted have shifted from the "want but don't have" page to the "grateful for" page. Just writing in the journal each morning lifts my spirits and I'm much happier for it.

I have alway thought that you can better understand yourself if you write your feelings and thoughts. By focusing on the things that I am grateful for, my mood improves and I'm happier.

So, who says you can't buy happiness?

I didn't know this was a writing Journal. It appears as a book and not a writing Journal. It is compact and very well made. I was looking for anything related to The Secret by Ms. Bryne. I will be writing/journaling a lot more, now. Very satisfied overall.
