The Secret Garden (DVD, 1997)

The Secret Garden DVD was a gift for son in law at my daughter's suggestion. The entire family loved it and they watched it twice in the first week.

Rented this movie and fell in love with it! The lives of a love-starved orphan and a sickly child cross paths, and the stroy unfolds beautifully with feeling, mystery, and excitement. The power of love and friendship bring miracles into the children's lives, as well as the lives of those around them. Wonderful family intertainment that will inspire and uplift!

I decided to buy this movie because I haven't seen it since I was in the 2nd grade. Everywhere I called to just try to rent the movie didn't have it. I was going to buy it from this store here in town, but they told me that it would probably cost me at least $15. So something told me to look it up on Ebay and I did. I couldn't have asked for a better price for my all time favorite movie. I absolutely love this movie and since I have had it I have watched it time and time again. Thank you so much.

I love this movie!!! It's a classic!! I remember when I was a kid, my sisters and I would watch this movie all the time. It brings back great memories. A great family movie!

I hope this is not too advanced for a 2 year old...when I was little I saw this in school and it really opened my mind to a mystical land that we all want to explore and discover ourselves...little kids developing want a world they can slip into and have make-believe in and when I saw this, I thought it was a real place...might be, where only their thoughts and actions reflect their reality..beautiful thoughts, flowers, colors and innocence...I never wanted to grow up and this showed how individuals acted in such a world -- very uplifting...this is a gift to a friend's 2 year old...they will all watch it together and discuss it..

We bought the movie as a reward for my daughter reading the book. My daughter's response is, "The beginning of the movie was different than the book. In the book the town died from disease, but in the movie there was a fire. There were a few other things that were different, but that was the biggest." We really enjoyed the actors in the film. The children were adorable and played their characters as they were portrayed in the book. The film was very pleasant to watch and I recommend it to all families to enjoy together!

The first time I saw this movie was when I was about 10. I absolutely fell in love with it. Mary is so easy to relate to (doesn't feel like she fits in, sensitive), and all of the other characters in this brilliant movie-based-on-a-novel are fantastic. I have also read the book, and the movie is very faithful to the original story. The casting is perfect. Dame Maggie Smith is wonderful and the boy who plays Colin is just perfect. I highly recommend this movie.

This is a Excellent movie. A timless classic. The world needs a "Mary" in it everyday. The Secret Garden is a movie that will bring the whole family together. I have watched this movie over and over again and it never gets old. You will cherish this movie after the first time you watch it.
