A documentary series chronicling the history of the greatest conflict of the 20th century, THE SECOND WORLD WAR continues with VOLUME FIVE: THE WEHRMACHT & THE KRIEGSMARINE. In these two parts, two of the arms of the powerful German military are explored. THE WEHRMACHT was the German land army, which was among the best trained in the world and was pivotal to many of Germany's early victories. THE KRIEGSMARINE was the German navy, which managed to accomplish astonishing military feats despite being small and inadequate for a major war.
