Movie Description
A documentary series chronicling the history of the greatest conflict of the 20th century, THE SECOND WORLD WAR continues with VOLUME ELEVEN: THE WAR IN THE DESERT & THE WAR IN THE JUNGLE. In THE WAR IN THE DESERT, the battles that took place between Allied and Axis forces in North Africa are detailed, and their significance to the larger war is explained. THE WAR IN THE JUNGLE describes the skirmishes fought in hostile terrains in Burma and China, where Allied forces battled the Japanese to end their control over the region. Two of the often overlooked theaters of the war are presented in THE SECOND WORLD WAR VOLUME ELEVEN.
