As the owner of a rescued dog, I decided to buy this book and the companion Found Dogs for my wife's birthday and anniversary present. The stories will delight you and bring tears to your eyes. These are true to heart stories that only people who adopt will understand and appreciate. My wife and I agree that our dog has the characteristics and qualities of the dogs in this book. If you have never adopted a dog from a shelter, you must read this book and even if you have, you should still read this book. A perfect gift for the dog lover in your family. One word of caution, you will be tempted to run down to your nearest animal shelter after reading it!
