The book is great. I havent finished it yet but I have loved it so far. It make the music that much better

Phil is a great guy. I saw him play in NYC two weeks ago in a very small and wonderful venue. The spirit still lives in him. You can see it when he plays.

Great book, couldn't put it down. A first hand account of what went down over 30 yrs with the grateful dead. Phil does a great job telling the behind the scenes life he lived. I highly recommend this book for fans of the 60's, the dead or just a great read. Peace.

I've been a Dead fan for thirty some years and always wondered what life was like backstage for them. This book really seems to give some good insight into what their world was like, and has enough wit to make it an enjoyoble read. Buy it if you're interested.

I absoulutely loved this book. After reading it I passed it along to a friend to read with the understanding that if he does not have a friend tha would enjoy it to give it back so I can pass it along.I since have bought it 3 more times for others to get back on the bus.Really brings back great memories of the shows I attended and explained the connection of Phil and Jerry not to mention all the other deadheads and musicians along the way.
Truly "WHAT A LONG STRANGE TRIP IT HAS BEEN". If you are only going to read one book on the Dead,then start here.
