Great book - - maybe my favorite...

From Miller's description of the "Lifeboat Theory" (how there's this system in place that everyone participates in, and yet fully aware of how ignorant and silly it is, based soley upon looks, and personal gain, etc.) to his progression through Genesis, the Fall and the great significance of the 'nakedness' of Adam and Eve. He captures so well the heaviness of the reality of the Garden of Eden, of the perfect communion with God, to the heartache of losing that and 'realizing' they were naked. I've yet to read or hear anyone describe with such clarity the honest reality of how everyone is made to get his/her identity from an exterior source. Today people try to get it from everything; other people, sports, clothes, fashion, branding, etc... And what's amazing is that those people shouldn't be labeld bad, or immature, because what they are doing is normal. The reality is that we were made that way, to get our identity from something outside ourselves. The crux is that we're supposed to get our identity from God, like A & E did before the Fall.
Great book, I totally recommend it. - - nW
