Sealab 2021 - Season 1 (DVD, 2004, 2-Disc Collector's Ediiton)

Sealab 2021, what an odd show. It's hard for me to describe what's so funny about this show, but it is definately funny. I guess it's because the characters are so different, but they're not really like real people you could relate too. I mean, that Capitan Murphy guy, man, he's out there. This DVD set goes through all of season one. There are some extras with it that have the original pilot episode, as well as some alternate endings that never got used for some of the episodes, though the extras aren't all that great.

Overall, you're not going to be buying this for those few extras, but for the show itself.

There one word that comes to mind when i think of this show- odd. Its hard not to laugh at the obviously stupid things the characters do. After seeing this show i seen the original version, i suggest you stick with this one. Theres a new topic every show but one thing never changes- it'll be weird and definetly funny.

To honestly get the full effect of Sealab 2021 you have to watch seasons 1 and 2, beyond that it starts trying to develop an odd story.

Ive been an adult swim fan since i stumbled across the first show. I enjoy the way the writer's take old serious cartoon's and turn them into undated character's and cartoon's are supposed to be funny right? These show's are intended for adult's but are in my opinion are for anyone especially when compared to family guy which is hilarious but very adult oriented and it's a prime time network show. Sealab is just slapstick comedy that's fresh and watchable,in animation form. I don't think it's in production anymore so that makes these dvd's even more collectible to the fan's. Along with space ghost, brak show, aqua teen hunger force, harvey birdman, squidbillies and other's being created by these fantastic writer's and animator's are in a league of their own. The quality of their effort's are to be applauded. If you're ever down in spirit, just turn one of these show's into a player and all the bad vibe's will disappear within five minute's! You can't help but to laugh and it don't stop when the show's over! It will lighten your spirit and your day.

The price was phenomenally low and was a great deal saving me about 12 bucks. Also, I felt very confident with the order since the reviews were so good. Also, the shipping was extremely fast.

Love it, you won't forget these characters. Crazy funny show. You'd be surprised at the situations that occur under the sea, especially if the captain of your ship is a nut. Highly recommended...but not for children.
