) Very solid and easy to set up. My 15-year-old set it up from box to start. Simple instructions, easy PNP install, and quick data transfer. A great little package!

I would rate this product slightly better than average primarily because it is compact and looks pretty cool with some nice yellow lighting. This is my 3rd external hard drive and they've pretty much all worked the same way. This Seagate unit installs some software that urges you to use their back-up system with regard to scheduling. It comes at a price however in term of cost. Included is the ability to backup your system off line. I wasn't interested and pulled the plug on the trial subscription. I did have a hard time working around it as I wanted to use the "free" process that came with the laptop. A good value in any case.
