Quite, fast, cheap for the amount of space, also heavy and very well built. Quick seek, handles large file transfers easily.

Installed easily, is fast, and easily configurable.
I purchased this drive as a secondary drive for storage of video and other graphic files over several western digital drives.. I've always had good luck with Seagate drives, whereas I've had a Western Digital die after only 2 years.. Still want to get family photos off of that drive also..

It was an excellent buy and --Of Course -- What was needed for Upgrading my Computer's Hard Drive. Every thing the seller specified in Selling this item was true. I was so busy --I finally got around to installing it, and it worked "As Advertised".

The value you receive for the phenominal amount of drive space just blows me away. I can now mirror my old hard drive in case it fails, store and burn all my movies, music and camcording on a drive!Just a fantastic asset.

Super easy to install and a good product. Use your own external enclosure, Do Not Use Seagate pre-built enclosures!

Well, I can say that it is now working, but for how long? This thing sounds like a jet plane taking off. The high pitched whine is really hard to take. To me this means short life. So, I removed it from my PC and will use it in an external SATA HD enclosure for backup work as I am sure it would not last long in the PC as a continue spun main drive.

The item condition is perfect. I got it even in the new plastic Seagate HDD box. Surface scan shows all sectors have a response time less than 50ms. Most of them are even less than 2ms. I considered using the HDD as a donor to my recently broken HDD but it seems it makes sense to put it to an RAID-5 disk array. I’m absolutely satisfied with the expenses I’ve made to buy this device.
