The maximum image size is 2048 1536, these images can be enlarged to the A4 format (8 10). The camera utilizes Smart Media (SM) and has a 16MB on board memory that can capture up to 308 images in the standard mode;The imaging distance ranges from 40cm (15 inches) to (infinity) with the standard 38mm meniscus lens. The macro lens focuses down to 10cm (4 inches);The built in color filter and macro lens allows the user multiple variations, conveniently and instantly;Utilizing the color filter allows the user to capture brilliantly colored images with available light and when there are suspended particles in the water. To assist in eliminating backscatter, use this filter without the onboard flash or external strobes;DX-3100 can also capture silent video in the AVI format. The user can review these images on the LCD, a TV or computer monitor;Software for image storage, manipulation and editing comes standard with the DX-3100;Sea & Sea produces many accessories for the DX-3100.
