The 2nd best film in this great trilogy!!!

Scream 2

The 2nd best film in the trilogy.

Another great slasher film that keeps you guessing all the way till the end. I feel that the ending is sub-par, but it's a decent twist.

Campbell, Kennedy, Arquette, and Cox are great as usual, and the supporting cast is superb as well.

The change of scenery offers a fresh look to this film, and the kill scenes are great again.

Final Verdict:

4/5

Rent or Buy?: Buy the Ultimate Scream Pack instead, but this film is definitely worth owning.

The Screams are almost as loud

While not quite as refreshingly original as the first movie, Scream 2 does a good job of avoiding most of the sequel pitfalls. The biggest hit to the movie is a very corny and suspenseless opening. Once it and the title passes, the movie is fairly golden. The situations Wes Craven films his actors in here are fairly original, such as hiding in a soundproof room or crawling across the unconscious killer. About the only thing that hurts the climax is that the true culprit(s) of Scream 1 were just so much better than here. Here they don't get quite enough screentime, and so its a little disappointing in that aspect. Overall, just slightly inferior to its 1997 predecessor.

I enjoyed this movie, but it wasn't as good as the first one.

It starts out with Sidney Prescott who is now in college. Once again a serial killer shows up and starts murdering college students, and of course Sidney is on the top of the killers list. The body count is higher and the deaths are more violent. Who is the killer this time?

There is a great cast this time around as well, including: Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jerry O'Connell, and Jada Pinkett Smith.

If you enjoyed the first Scream movie, then you'll enjoy this one as well.

  Great Movie!

All 3 of these movies are Pretty good. This one can't be watched without seeing the first one though or you're missing out. It follows you up on what happened in Number 1 but you really need to watch them in order to get the real feel for the Trilogy.
