Scotty Anderson - Red Hot Guitar (DVD, 2006)

The slow motion at normal pitch is the thing that this CD a valuable tool for the guitarist looking to go to the next level. The split screens are really close up and well lit and easy to see. I have been playing professionally for 30 years and have a zillion guitar videos but this one jumps out as one that will help me the most. There is not much theory taught just picking. Get it and you won't be disappointed.

Scotty is off the charts. His technique is so relaxed and advanced. If you like country/Jazz guitar it's a must see.

Where do i start? Scotty Anderson is hands down the best guitar player of our time. I know you hear this a lot, but really, scotty has it all. Not only does he play incredibly well but he is innovative in an area where there isint much room left for innovation. This DVD is such a great learning tool, but you'll have to be a fairly advanced player to keep up with any of the lessons inside. I bought this because i needed a challenge to keep my practice regimen up, and it worked. I have enough stuff to learn from this DVD to last me years. Aside from that, beginners can benefit from watching Scottys technique and focusing on that first rather than playing the double stop arpeggio runs : ). Great product, Great player, highly recommended.
